As a digital product designer with over two decades of experience, I've witnessed the evolution of technology, the ebb and flow of trends, and the emergence and fading of various design tools. My journey in digital product design has been diverse, encompassing a wide range of roles and skills.
In the early stages, I delved into crafting table-based layouts using Dreamweaver (not the most glamorous era!), and then transitioned to front-end development, meticulously coding pixel-perfect designs in HTML & CSS. However, I soon realised that my true passion lay in design, particularly in crafting user-centric experiences.
Later, my fascination with human psychology in design became apparent: What influences people's behaviour? How, when, and where do they interact with digital products? What drives their motivations and expectations, and how can we tailor information to resonate with them? This exploration led me to specialise in UX design, where I continue to thrive and innovate.
Ask first. Understand the business objectives, define the audiences, identify the problem space and focus on outcomes.
Problem solving. Understand a user's entire journey with a service and create solutions that meet their needs.
Take shape. Once the solution is defined we create a roadmap, establish the architecture and design the product.
Function and form. From prototypes to UI designs, you'll have pixel perfect designs and impeccable user journeys.
Is not a bolt-on! Establish usability, meet accessibility needs and ensure an inclusive, delightful experience for all.
